Three Thousand Words || Scott McCall
He looked up, drops of water hitting his face, it was such a strange feeling, the water droplets falling on him and how he could feel each and every drop, counting them with ease. It wasn’t like he had never been in the rain before, it was just different experiencing it now. Scott glanced over to the road, remembering how almost 11 years ago, he was in that very spot when he realized he had received the bite, the thing he once saw as a curse, and slowly realized that perhaps it was a gift. It had taken him years for him to think that after he was bitten by the Alpha, the things that came with it weren’t so bad after all. But of course, even he had no idea for the many events that came along afterwards.
Grace stood in front of her mirror for a couple of seconds, making sure that her hair looked great. She had a that thing when she simply always had to have her hair look good, and be the way she liked it. She really tried not think about all those nerves inside her, she knew that Scott was going to make their first date unforgettable and she was more than sure that it was going to be great. He was her best friend and he just knew what she liked, so she didn’t worry about that. No, she was worried about her maybe acting a bit weird, and.. And blushing all the time. She knew that it was silly, but she couldn’t help it. Grace giggled when he pulled her closer. “I know,” she whispered, caressing his cheek. She had never been really good at restraining herself from kissing, and well, she just couldn’t say no when he was holding her tightly. She moaned quietly, feeling that her cheeks were turning red and how warm she was getting.
Scott could hear Grace’s heartbeat speed up. This girl was definitely as nervous as he was. But it was a good nervous. They were finally giving themselves a chance. A chance to be in love, to fall in love, to be together. It was meant to be, the best friends since their rugrat years. Always being there for one another. When Scott’s father left, Grace was there for him. When Grace’s brother passed, Scott was there for her. And those weren’t the only times either. He knew that Grace had changed him, for the better. ”Good, because I think I’m ready to get there,” Scott kissed her lightly one last time before motioning them to get up and leave. ”Are you ready to go?” Scott looked at Grace, excited to finally get their date on a roll. It was going to be an unforgettable night, and he knew that what he had in store, Grace would enjoy it.

She bit her lip, trying not to laugh. It was hard to even pretend to be angry at him, especially when he was looking at her like that. Her fingers buried themselves in his hair, luring him to get closer to her. Of course she didn’t want him to fall off the tree, but it seemed like he was doing good, so she didn’t worry that much about it. She rest her forehead on his for a moment, and smiled slightly, licking and then biting her lower lip. She wanted to giggle at some point, but she didn’t let herself do that. “Definitely better,” she agreed with a big smile. And that was another point for Scott McCall. “Well you didn’t tell me the exact location, and you saw me with everything, so you know.. I had to come up with something a bit different…” she said honestly.
The boy slightly laughed when Grace said she didn’t know what to wear. Of course the date was completely a surprise and he was ready to show her. Tonight he wanted it to be perfect. He wanted Grace to see that he could not only be her best friend, but a boyfriend. The boy wanted to do all that stuff. The extra sappy and romantic dates, along side their crazy hang out and vulnerable stuff too. He watched her, his eyes careful not to leave her sight. ”Well you know it’s going to be outside, and well, late March, finally the weather is getting a bit warm, and you are looking beautiful anyway,” Scott grabbed the girls arm and pulled her in, making her sit in his lap as he slowly leaned in to kiss the girl again. ”You’re going to like our date, by the way,” Scott teased, taking in a bit of air before going in for another kiss.

Grace shook her head and was just about to close the window, telling herself that it was all just something, not real thing, when she suddenly felt someone’s lips on her own. She squeaked loudly, not knowing what was going on, her eyes and mouth wide open. “Scott!” she hissed, trying to calm herself down. He scared the shit out of her even though it was probably the cutest thing ever. “You freaked me out!” she pouted, rolling her eyes. She couldn’t act angry for long though, and she quickly smiled and gave him another kiss. “Why won’t you come inside and check the time on the clock on your own?” she teased. She moved away from the window and started picking up her clothes and throwing them all to her wardrobe. She was going to take care of them later on, right now she was definitely not going to think about them when she was going on the date.
The boy chuckled at the girl’s reaction. ”Sorry,” the boy gave her an innocent look. His puppy-dog eyes evident. He chuckled again, after the girl came in for a kiss herself. He lingered there for a little bit, getting use to her lips. This was probably the third time since their lips were magnetic towards each other, and the boy never wanted them to be apart. He grinned when she said to come inside. ”Why thank you,” Scott climbed inside the window and looked over at the clock. ”So, I’m a few minutes early, better than being late,” Scott glanced over to see Grace putting away her clothes. ”Busy day?” the boy teased as he sat on the bed, eyes locked on her.

Grace was a bit nervous about that evening. Well no, actually she was freaking out, running from one place to another, trying to find the things she needed. She threw out her entire collection of clothes and tried to pick something. It was not an easy task, she wanted to look fabulous, and since Scott had already seen her in everything, she had to come up with some new idea. She bit her lip, sitting on her bed and just covering her face. Why was she so nervous? She chuckled to herself, of course she knew why. It took her a long while to finally pick something and actually look good in it. She was smiling when she was putting some make up on, not much, just some mascara, some blush, some lipstick. She was almost ready when she heard a noise. It was just like someone knocked on the window, but it was rather impossible, right? She raised her eyebrows, coming closer and opening it. She shook her head, seeing nothing. It was probably just her mind playing her, yes, that was probably that.
Scott tried to keep as quiet as possible. He could hear Grace, footsteps creeping closer to the window, to find out the source of the knock. He waited until she finally came by, opening the window and looking to see what it was. The boy then out of nowhere swiftly moved in, his lips reaching his. He hoped he didn’t scare the girl, but wouldn’t be surprised if he did that. He pulled away, a smile on his face. Scott took a good look at the girl standing in the other side of the window. She was beautiful. It was like seeing her again for the first time, a new person, a beautiful, gorgeous person. ”Hey, beautiful,” Scott gave the girl a grin. Whatever the reaction she made, it made him chuckle. ”Am I a little early, or late? I can see that you definitely been trying to find an outfit,” Scott chuckled as his eyes glanced over to see the bed, full of clothes that were piled up.

Scott had everything prepared for the night. He wanted nothing more for it to be special. He had finished the last preparations for the night. It was going to be a perfect date. Mostly for the reason that Grace was the one he’d be taking. His best friend, his girlfriend now. That was weird to say, his girlfriend. And he didn’t have to hide himself from her, she knew his secret, and they didn’t need to hide anything. He made his way towards Grace’s home, and decided he would do things the old fashion way. Scott looked over at the tree that was next to her room window, grabbing on the bark with his elongated nails, and slowly making his way up. When he was outside the window, he knocked on the window lightly, but hid so that Grace would have to come towards it, and hopefully she’d open the window and look outside.
